Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements
Fund both insurance premiums and health care for employees.
What is an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement?
Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements(ICHRAs) allow employers to reimburse employees for qualified medical expenses, including monthly premiums, copayments, deductibles and other out-of-pocket costs.
Employees must be enrolled in their own individual health insurance plan to receive tax-free reimbursements from an ICHRA.
Employers:Why Offer an ICHRA?
ICHRAs can reimburse health insurance premiums, healthcare expenses, or both. There is no maximum reimbursement limit. ICHRAs can be combined with an HSA.
Consistent monthly costs.
Employers can have both a Group Health Plan and ICHRA. Offer benefits to distinct employee classes.
